Description: The Road to Recovery Program of the American Cancer Society is in need of additional volunteer drivers to transport cancer patients in Guadalupe County to their doctor appointments and treatments. Anyone with a few hours to spare a week with a reliable vehicle may volunteer. You may drive once or twice a week depending on how many trips are booked for that week.

Description: Volunteer to help out with annual D.A.R.E. activities sponsored by the Seguin Police Department. The 4th annual COPS & KIDS PICNIC at the Starke Park Pavilion will require as many volunteers as possible to help in serving food and coordinating games for the children. 100 bikes will be raffled on that day.

G. V. Family Violence Shelter Volunteer
Description: We need volunteers for all types of jobs. Volunteer workers are needed for administrative, building maintenance, lawn mowing, answering hot-line calls, licensed counselors and working at the Cranny (our downtown resale shop). Description: If someone has a talent for building, family selection or nurturing, church relations, publicity or volunteer reach, we need to have them get involved! Additionally, we are always looking for someone that has time to serve on the board itself.
Volunteer individuals or groups have building skills such as carpentry, plumbing, or electrical talents are especially appreciated. Even without building skills, a group or individual’s energy on the worksite can be especially valuable.
If someone or the church cannot help physically, they can help by donating funds to buy materials and supplies.

Description: Teach a three-week course (curriculum provided) on Wednesday nights at First Baptist Church to individuals in the community on what a credit report is, how to budget, and how to get out of debt. The goal of the course is to help individuals in the community who rent and can't qualify for a mortgage to be able to straighten out their finances. A Christian company will then build them a house and help them with financing it. Course teacher needs to be willing to build relationships and share their faith in Christ with those in the course as opportunity arises.
