Worship Services
Our services begin at 10:30 AM each Sunday morning. Signage with a campus map are conveniently located on all sides of the property to help you find your way.
Where do I park?
We are located on Cedar Street just off of Highway 123 Bypass and across from Seguin High School. There is reserved guest parking in the lot by Cedar Street on the west side of the church auditorium or you may park across Cedar Street in the Seguin High School parking lot.
What do most people wear?
Most men wear jeans and a collared shirt, and most women are in casual pants and a nice top. You will see a few men in coats and ties and a few others in shorts, and you will see some ladies in dresses and others in jeans. The pastor usually wears dress pants and a collared shirt.
Where should I sit?
Feel free to sit anywhere. Older families often sit downstairs and younger families often sit in the balcony. You can access the balcony by entering the auditorium immediately after coming into the building. The balcony stairs are located on the back sides of the building next to the restrooms.
What about my children?
During the worship services we have nursery available for birth thru three year olds. You will be provided a number when you drop off a child. Following the music portion of the worship service, children four years old thru first grade have the option of attending children’s worship. Both the nursery and children’s worship are located in our Children’s Building. Feel free to visit the children’s building prior to the service to register your children and to accompany your child to children’s worship if you so desire. You are free to have children of any age remain with you in worship. There is a “cry room” in the east corner of the balcony which is often used by parents of very young children.
What are Worship Services like?
During the first half of the service, the congregation is invited to join in worship as our Worship Team leads in both contemporary arrangements and a few older hymns. All songs are accompanied with piano/keyboard, drums, and guitars. During the second half of the service the pastor brings a message from the Bible. The pastor usually teaches through a section of the Bible over several months though each lesson stands alone so you will be able to follow along. We place a strong emphasis on the Bible, believing it is the inspired word of God from Genesis to Revelation. There are white cards in the seating with a QR code in the upper right corner. By scanning the code, you can go to a digital order of worship, including songs, links related to the sermon, and upcoming events. Worship services usually last around one hour.
Will I be asked to do anything in the service?
No, other than the pastor referring to the white cards in the seating which are guest information cards. If you would like specific information about the church, you may fill one out and place it in one of the offering boxes at the entrances to the auditorium, or you may use the link in the digital order of worship to request information.
What to do if I'm interested in becoming a member?
You may indicate an interest in membership in one of four ways. First, we have a Church Orientation Meeting every third Sunday at 9 AM in the church office building. This is a one-hour session led by the pastor in which he discusses church beliefs, staff, service opportunities, small groups, missions, finances, and the membership process. Anyone interested in the church is free to attend. Second, you may indicate an interest in membership by filling out of the white cards in the auditorium and placing it in an offering box. Third, you may fill out the “next steps” form in the digital order of service. And finally, following the sermon each Sunday there is a “Next Steps” song in which those present are asked to contemplate what their next step is in their spiritual journey. You may come to the front of the church and let the pastor know at this time of an interest in becoming a member.
